VIDEOGRAPHER | EDITOR | PHOTOGRAPHER

Carmen Bracamonte Enterprises, Inc. is looking for a creative and professional individual who can assist us in continuing to offer our readers and clients top-notch video features. 
The right candidate will have at least two years of production experience; having focused expertise shooting digital video and non-linear editing. Experience with set direction, light design, script writing and graphic design is preferred. This position needs an out-of-the-box self-starter who can meet deadlines and isn't afraid to tackle creative challenges. 
Whether you're completing a video story for our award-winning editorial team, or assisting one of our clients with their own creative video, no day working with us will ever be the same.

 

Location: Los Angeles, CA

For Internal Communication Video Purposes, Must be able to Independently:

Conceptualize

• Design

• Tape

• Edit

• Create software demonstrations using Captivate

• Strategy planning

Edit and package digital video for multiple formats:

Streaming

• Podcast

• Mobile

• Progressive download etc.

Create motion graphics packages using:

Photoshop

• Illustrator

• Motion etc.

Maintain Up-to-Date Knowledge Related to Video Shooting and Editing on:

Trends

• Technologies

• Techniques

Maintain and operate video and audio equipment.  Graphic Design work as needed

DVD and Blu-ray Authoring

Specific Responsibilities

Working under the direction of Executive Producer and Art Director, this individual is responsible for producing an edited master archive video for all TV shows. Organize and direct multiple camera video shoots. Must be able to shoot and edit 90 second to 160 second videos. 

Each video is shot in 2-3 hours and edited within 1-2 weeks. Quick turn around is a must.  Creativity is a must and thinking quickly on your feet is needed to be successful. You will need to have your own equipment in order to be considered for this job.
- HD Video Camera
- Tripod
- 1 or 2 Lavalier Mics (preferably 2)
- On camera light, clamp lights or bounce boards if you have them
- Final Cut Pro Studio for editing and delivering files on supplied hard drive.


Requirements

• Ability to shoot video, record audio and light shooting area

• Knowledge of Final Cut Pro editing systems

• Knowledge of Adobe Production Suite Programs

• Knowledge of HD video cameras

• Mac Operating Systems

• Demonstrated creativity

• Understanding of video compression techniques

• Project Organization Skills

• Experience with Flash, Animation and 3D design programs a plus

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar position


Qualifications

Previous experience with videography required. Experience in videography for television. Must be able to operate S-VHS and digital video equipment. Must be proficient with non-linear and computerized video editing systems, including Videonics digital edit controller, digital video mixer, and title generator. Must have Knowledge of Final Cut Pro. Knowledge of iMovie and Mac operating system required. Evening and weekend availability required. Must have a college degree.  Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred but not mandatory.


Hours and Pay

During the first three months, 4 hours per week, or as needed.  Paid will be commensurate with skills, experience and performance. 

After a three-month assessment, candidate will be offered a full-time position (base salary).
